Biology

Biology is one of the three high school science subjects available to students who have finished Science 10, along with Chemistry and Physics. Biology is a science subject which focuses on the study of organisms. Biology 11 deals with a wide variety of living organisms, especially animals and plants. In addition, Biology 11 deals with material on microbiology (such as viruses) and on material related to all living organisms (such as taxonomy and evolution). Biology 12 deals with human biology and with biological cells.

For students who are interested in majoring in biology after high school or taking biology courses at a university or college, Biology 12 is a great way to prepare for the biology courses offered at post-secondary institutions.
